O’ man , look above , and you see the sun the moon and the stars;
Their glow will vanish one day and they all will cease to exist.
Look beneath, and you see the earth, the fire and the water with their vast expanse;
Even this visible world will perish one day.
In between are the air, the life-spirit (Jeeva) and Akash(with sound as its attribute), all in their subtle form,
The combination of these three elements will also vanish once for ever.
These nine elements are visible and they are termed as the Creation.
The Tenth is the Supreme Being (Brahm) distinct from these nine elements and yet pervading them all.
All this (visible) will perish and ‘ Nothing’ will remain at last, O’ my friends;
Avtar says this ‘Nothing’ is ‘Everything’ and this is known as the formless one- Nirankar.

Meaning
O’ man, you see the Sun, the Moon and the Stars above in the sky; Their shine will go one day, and they all will vanish. Down below, you see the Earth, the fire and the water, with their vast (huge) expanse (spread). Even this visible world will perish (vanish) one day. In between, you find the air, the life spirit (Jeeva) and the Akash (Awaaz-, in hindi) (with sound as its characteristic), all in their subtle (fine) form. The combination of these three elements will also vanish once for ever. These nine elements, which constitute the ‘matter’ can be seen or visualized and are termed as the Creation. The tenth is the Supreme Being [Brahm, Nirankar], distinct (dissimilar) from these nine elements, yet present in them all. O’ my friends, all this (visible) will perish (vanish) and ‘Nothing’ will remain at last. Avtar says, ‘Nothing’ that will remain in the end, is ‘Everything’ and this is known as the Formless One - Nirankar
